The problem is that people new to the iPhone play with it a lot and the battery runs down. I have absolutely no problem with my 3GS - it lasted 4 days on a trip to Canada WITHOUT recharge and yes, I used it. What I didn't do is sit around hunting down apps over wifi for hours at a time while listing to music with a bluetooth headset (before you try to cry about iPhone not multitasking that way - yes you can.) Any smart phone you use that way will have a short battery life. It might amaze you to know that when they give you the battery time for music, video, internet access, etc, it isn't for using it all at the same time.

The author of this article should actually research a bit. There was no advertising regarding battery life improvements from the 3G to 3GS - check the facts - the stats are identical. however, I do get longer battery life on my 3GS versus my 3G but I do not know why I should with more RAM and faster running processors.

If someone actually has a problem with the iPhone all they need to do is go to the Apple Store. Apple is known for amazing customer service - you buy something and can take free classes on using it, for $100 a year get hundreds of hours of personal training on your computer (that is just an amazing program), and bring in any Apple device and have a technician look at it for free in the store - even outside of warranty. What compares to that level of service and support?

Over heating was already debunked - there is a cleaning solution to clean off the stains left by some 3rd party cases.
