How I'm Moving My Data Center into The Cloud

Data Center Outsourcing has been around for many years. In fact, this used to be the norm in the days of UNISYS data centers. This appears to fit only on the fringe of "Cloud Computing". I see no use of SaaS and the Citrix solution is a simple remote access solution which has been around for many years.
This is a decent first step, but saying this approach is moving to the "cloud" further clouds the significance of the term of "cloud computing" (pardon the pun :) ).

I'm interested. Is this really moving into the cloud or simply a fully managed hosted environment.

I think Cloud computing works very well for some companies (depending on the size and complexity) but it still has it's own challenges. A typical IT shop has to completely change it's paradigm of thinking regarding capacity planning, DR, operational procedures and the type of code they write.

Sorry, but this article looks like an outsourcing bussines to re-host its datacenter but nothing related to cloud computing or even cloud storage.
If you tell me that Terremark provides software services solutions oriented to "travel and hotel" industries, plus a datacenter infrastructure in order to hosts its clients business data, then we could talk about cloud computing.

Its amazing how the author has compared 16k to 210k. I almost thought that 16k was the annual figure. When you do the math for 3 years, the cloud is going to cost you 586k while the co located model is going to cost you 570k.
Also 210k for 10 physical servers ?? what is the guy building..
And you can find a leasing vendor who will give you a monthly quote for the hardware so you defray your capital costs...
