Microsoft has given its most ringing endorsement of open source Web browsers to date with chief executive officer Steve Ballmer not ruling out adopting such technology as an alternative to its own popular Internet Explorer, saying it is "interesting".

That's why MSFT is the greatest company in the world.
Yes, programming is no challenging job anymore because most "programmers" just copy&past code from everywhere---although they may even cannot implement quick sort.
However, MSFT is more focusing on Fundamental---you might not be able to see the quick benefit, but it pays back in the long run. In short, if you don't go through all the pains developing a HTML parser, how do you know the weakness and strength for your product---name it IE or Firefox or whatever.
One thing u people should notice is that the "open source" community never "invent" anything. The best they can do is making something more fancy, but no innovative. Why? Because they are just college kids.

If it wasn't for college, there wouldn't be any 'open source', at all. College... what a waste of time that was. If you can't get off your ass and learn something you want to learn then you have no desire. With no desire, you're pretty much worthless. If everyone would just have a little bit more desire, we would all be a little better off.
Me, I have no desire to be taught by some egomanical professor anymore, especialy when I can do it myself by going to the public library.
I love working for Microsoft because smart people recognize other smart people and we coexist in the greatest atmosphere around.
