Is iPhone 3G "twice as fast at half the price," as Apple's marketing boasts? Or is it a slow, faulty, overhyped device that drops calls and doesn't reliably or consistently connect to AT&T's network, as a consumer's lawsuit claims?

interesting article.. seems one sided, and only provides information from one user and there issues with the phone. The 3g phone i've purchased for my wife has had zero issues, nothing but good reports here. Easily setup yahoo and google email, no issues what so ever.
The internet has been great, the app store is tremendous, and the sync between macbook, itunes has been seamless.
The 3g phone/network seems great, i live in a small area, which doesn't receive great reception from any carrier, but this device and network (so far) has been the best and very pleasing.
A (+) experience with 3g.
My experience with the e-mail system on the 3G phone has been unreliable. I have been experiencing the identical issue with e-mail fetching working flawlessly for a day or so, then stopping. I have tried reinstalling all of the email accounts, changing outgoing server settings, not syncing with the ITunes with no luck. AT&T says I need new hardware. Apple says that AT&T must be having issues.
Had I not lost my original Iphone, I would not have this wonderful new machine which is inferior to the original in this capacity and others.
