I have been using ZOHO sheets for quite some time. I think ZOHO is a fantastic and far easier to use. I am glued to it for all my personal and some office work. It makes my life much easier having to access work done from any where residing on Zoho servers, hopefully very secure from any predators and miscreants.

I would not like to see ZOHO merged or bought out by the likes of Google or Microsoft. But another buyer could be IBM, a company I admire a lot!

Having dealt with IBM & Microsoft in the early days I shudder at the previous comment as I remember the prices we paid for IBM software and the "do it our way or the highway" attitude. Thanks to Microsoft prices dropped to a fraction of what IBM was having its customers pay.

I don't see any feature in it which Google doesn't offer. They are just copy cat of Google. Google as being the innovator will crush them beside I don't feel secure that my data is sitting somewhere in the servers in India where the infrastructure and legal system won't be able to support my business and data. So I would rather pay little bit more to Google than someone hosting the my data which can be compromised anytime.

And why do you assume that Google Apps data is NOT stored in a data center in India?

I've tried and tried to find a better application to no avail. I just finished taking my rest. Now I'll get up. The search must continue...

Adam : I guess zoho has its data center in US and not in India.

Please use Zoho Sheet , Zoho Creator and few other applications of zoho and compare them with google. Zoho kicks ass google in both features and usability.

Try the apps. Google has a long way to go to be able to compete with Zoho in terms of usability and options. Google is the one that will be borrowing ideas, not Zoho. They might have borrowed the concept, but they've outpaced Google Apps by an incredible distance already, and it's still early in the game.

That's the comment from a person who is living in dark. Which bank do you have money? Can you gurantee that the bank is not having any IT operations in India. When the fortune 500 companies are thinking that the India is going to be Technology super power. If you dont beleive this continue live in the dark world.

Regarding Adam's: I don't see any feature in it which Google doesn't offer.

I've been using Zoho sheets daily for a few months. Don't want to be very technical in this post. I tried Google but could not achieve the desired results. The same document(it has multiple sheets and a lot of formulas) was giving me hard time even in MS Excel but works perfectly without any glitch in Zoho.

I guess big guys should never underestimate their competitors.
