Our employees are dying to see this come to light. The IT departments on the other hand are no where near as anxious. Why would they be? The perfect solution is on the market now. There's no need for the headaches of dealing with first version hardware and software integration points.

You know, I am getting tired of hearing about Exchange.
Seriously, how many companies really use Exchange? While it's hard to tell exactly the only site I found with anything close to statistics was this site.
http://www.mailradar.com/mailstat/countries/United-States.html
and fi you look at the numbers on exchange, it puts it at about 1% of e-mail traffic on the internet. Now, if I were Apple, wopuld I worry about that 1% or the other 99% that people actually use and have? That is why the exchange support does not include Activesync. That and Apple probably did not want to pay Microsoft per phone for activesync licensing. Why does everyone think it's the end of the world when something microsoft does proprietary is not supported by everyone else?
Microsoft may own the desktop arena but in servers and (dare I say) BUSINESS use, the logic usually winds up on a *nix box. </troll>
Go iPhone!
Don't forget some of the basics that would be real good to have, "cut", "copy", and "paste" for starters, an integrated to-do list, MMS messaging.
Still, it's a great device, hopefully it will now get even better.
Doesn't anyone yearn for voice dialing?
Any predictions on when/if this will be available?
I've been anxiously awaiting this since the iPhone was first released. I'm stunned that there is not yet a search tool, allowing users to look through calendar events and contacts for a specific item. For example, if I don't recall someone's name but know that they work for a specific company, I cannot look them up on my iPhone. Next, there is a significant need for a task management tool to be integrated. It should sync with Outlook or other commonly used task managers.
I just want stereo bluetooth. I bought my iPhone before I started working for a technology company and learned how to research products. Yes, I'm another tragic victim of marketing and hype. Imagine my dismay when I got it home and learned this great device that is supposed to solve the world's problems while delivering a top quality mobile multimedia experience has to have headphones PLUGGED IN to listen to music or watch movies. I've learned to deal with it, but my Motorola S9's miss me.
I'm not quite clear why there is this push for iPhone for business. Surely people buy iPhones for fun and businesses buy B/B for business, just as you've always had a work phone and a home phone. If you have two products now that do a job in their separate realms what is the pressure to merge fun use with business use, other than from the self-indulgent few who want music while they work or they'll hold their breath and turn purple?
