The best part of the article is the last line: Nearly everything in PCI can be considered security 101.
So many people are complaining that PCI is complicated. It is not! I am tired of everyone being so grumpy that PCI is hard. If management would let security do their job, we would have never needed PCI in the first place.
There are parts of PCI that may be complicated, but as a whole, the author is correct that everything in it is basic security.

This is the first time I have seen an article of this length and depth not mention a single vendor. A FIRST!!
If only Gartner could do that :)
