PodSmart, MP3 Technology to Deal With Information Overload

Interesting concept. Back in 2000 I invested in a audio player that hooked up to my computer and downloaded not only my emails but also news reports to the unit. I could then listen to all and reply via wav to the emails all through my audio system. The company (now defunct), named I Go,could not make a market of it. Perhaps it may work at this time as the customer can use existing technology via the IPod delivery format. I hope it does, I missed my I Go system.

Not only is PodSmart an interesting concept (and I agree with GerardF, there have been similar concepts using older technology) but more importantly, it was built by the users themselves. Having interns build software that is immediately relevant in their world, makes sense. The group and classroom motivation allow projects such as this to be built in record time.
I think the concept of relevant design by group makes absolute sense and can be applied to many different challenges.
Applying the lessons learned here to many other issues and situations is logical and could increase speed and competitive advantage.
